LG is traditionally trying to focus on design of its smartphones. The company has attempt is so many try and hardly get successful. But in 2012, LG is trying once again to change in fortune with the OptimusL7 android phone.
LG officially unveiled the Optimus L7 Android Smartphone at the Mobile World Congress 2012 trade show in Barcelona. LG has categorized the its mobile under the term of “L-Style”. The most notable key feature of LG Optimus L7 is its “floating mass display.
The L-Style design is based on around 5 aesthetic elements as per the company’s marketing team. They are:
- a modern square-style that aims to provide comfortable grip
- a "floating mass" screen for a slimmer look
- a more intuitive arrangement of menu keys
- metallic accents
- a slim shape.
It means that company trying to attract the consumers with using its design a square, slim case.
LG Optimus L7 key features is its 4.3 inch “floating mass display”, it is not display technology like retina graphic display in iPad 3 but is a display positioned to the surface of the screen which aims to give an impression that the display is floating.
LG focuses on style and design on their smartphones than the specifications. There is no any special and leading specifications in the LG Optimus L7. The screen has a resolution of 480×800 when many other phones are starting to ship with 1280×720 "HD" panels, while a 1GHz dual-core processor, a modest 512MB of RAM and a 5-megapixel camera are all standard features and don’t push any boundaries. The Optimus L7 comes with just 4GB of internal memory, but a microSD card slot does allow extra storage.
Thankfully the good thing is that the LG Optimus will ship with the latest 4.0 “Ice Cream Sandwich” which is poorly skinned with the LG’s “3.0 UI”. LG will keep the things simple and doesn’t add too many hardcore features to Android.
